The distance from Kanighat upazila Sadar to Lobhachara is only 9 km. Lobhachara can be reached by road and river from the upazila headquarters. It is very difficult to reach there as more than half of the road to Lobhachara is unpaved. So going to Lobhachara on the river route is the easiest way.

At the foothills of the Khasia-Jainta hills of India's Meghalaya, in the northeastern border area of Bangladesh, lies a lush landscape of immense beauty. There, the tourists have to be fascinated by the beauty of the cloud-mountains and the clear rocky Lobhachhara river. There is a very old tea garden in Lobhachara bordering hills and rivers. There is a hanging bridge next to the tea garden. The rising water of the river Nungang, a tributary of the Lobhachra, almost touches the red bridge made of iron. On one side of the bridge there is a lush tea garden and on the other side is forest. Like the Rangamati hanging bridge, you have to be amazed to see the Lohavachara hanging bridge. The surprise increased when I saw the date of construction of the bridge engraved on the bridge. The bridge was built in April 1925! Its maximum carrying capacity of 3 tons is also written on the nameplate. Meghalaya's Khasia-Jainta hills in the distance, hills on one side and tea plantations on the other side, crossing the forest and passing the river, it is natural that the sudden sight of the bridge will make you wonder.
