Lakshmi Prasad East Union is a traditional union. Chairman, secretary, entrepreneur, village police of this union are all dedicated to the union council. It is possible to come to this union by 2 roads from the district town of Sylhet. The first one should come from Sylhet Kamdatli bus terminal to Jakiganj upazila road to Sarker Bazar , from there Darpnagar-Momtazganj  Union office after crossing Kheyaghat. The second is Sylhet Subhanighat or Sylhet Bangbir Osmani Shishu Udyan to come to Kanighat, from there you have to come to union office by passenger boat.
